Temple for religious worship


Located at the northern part of Boyacá Plaza. Santo Domingo’s Church was built in stone and beauty amazing. The Boyacá Plaza is one of main points of reference for city orientation. The church and monastery are manage by the Dominican community. The actual temple dates from the time of Ibarra´s foundation. On its main altar, the Virgin of the Rosary is venerated. The church has many pictorial pieces result of Father Bedon’s religious inspiration and, sculptures of extraordinary artistic value of that era. It is surrounded by beautiful wooden altarpieces.
