Ibarra geosite - volcanic edifice

It has an altitude of 3,787 meters above sea level. It is formed by several volcano-like strata.
The climate is equatorial of high mountain and the fauna of the sector is generally made up of rabbits, wolves, quails and sparrow hawks.
Geologically, the constructions are volcano-type strata, composed of pyroclastic projections with intercalations of lava layers.
Geographically, it is considered a viewpoint from where you can see towns such as Otavalo, Ibarra and other parishes, as well as other elevations in the province such as Cotacachi, Imbabura, Fuya Fuya and the Angochagua mountain range.
This area is useful for ecotourism activities, photography and adventure tourism (trekking, camping).
