The Angochagua valley is located in the southeast of Ibarra in the province of Imbabura. It is a listric fault that converges to a major basal fault, so that the fault blocks overlap each other in a manner analogous to the tiles of a roof. It is a valley surrounded by mountains, with very important geological features.
