Ibarra geosite - plain - geological fault

This valley is located between the Tahuando and Mira rivers, with scarce native vegetation, its most representative is the hawthorn that forms small greenish spots in the valley, sugar cane crops, beans, asparagus.
Its relief is flat with sporadic protruded hills. In this area there are Afro-Ecuadorian settlements and some villages such as: San Luis de Salinas, La Carolina, Cuambo, Cuajara, and La Victoria. The climate in this area is hot and dry.
