Geological formation
Mucha Naju Rumi, a Kichwa word that means the stones that kiss each other, is located at 2,890 meters above sea level southeast of Ibarra in the rural parish of Angochagua on a ridge of the Angochagua mountain range. Its location provides a view of the Rinconada community, Angochagua, and elevations such as Imbabura, Cubilche, and Cunrru. The trail that leads to the high part is in good condition and the trip takes 10 minutes. There is a hut at the top for visitors to rest and for photography.
The community has implemented a fee of $0.75 per person to provide maintenance of the site.
