It was one of the first plazas built and date of the same epoque of Ibarra Foundation.
It is located in the heart of the city, with big trees and designed and maintained beautiful gardens which allow sharing a good time with friends. It is surrounded by the Episcopal Palace, the Cathedral, Episcopal Chapel, El Torreón and the buildings of the Municipal Palace.
In the center of the park arises the statue of the notable ibarreño – lawyer, journalist, and politician – Dr. Pedro Moncayo and Esparza as a tribute of the Republic of Ecuador, also here we have the traditional photographers who capture beautiful moments of the visitors.
