The SARUM MAKY handcrafted products express the traditions and ancestral knowledge belonging to the Micro region La Esperanza - Angochagua of the Ibarra Canton, Imbabura Province, Ecuador.
They are made on a daily basis by Kichwas Karanquis and mestizo men and women who are part of the Sarum Maky Yachay pre-association, which is mostly made up of women heads of household who are dedicated to handicraft production as a secondary source of income.
