This sport was originated in Ecuador and nowdays it is very common. It began in the highlands region and quickly it passed to other regions. Nowadays it is practiced throughout the country.

Modality
It is a competition of cars on a dirt track where you can see the audacity of its pilot to drive it through the present adversities during the competition, because of the track has puddle of water.

The cars can be any brand or displacement, all depends on the economic capacity of the competitor for each race. The most used brands for these competitions are: Toyota, Land cruiser, Ford and Chevrolet.

Adventurous tourists can rent a 4 x 4 vehicle to drive and cross the surroundings of Ibarra, for the practice of this sport.
