The Chota Valley, now is well-known as the cradle of nationally and internationally recognized Ecuadorian soccer figures such as: Ulises de la Cruz, Agustin 'El Tin' Delgado, Edison Mendez and others.

The Chota Valley, a region of Ecuador with 25,000 inhabitants, where were born dozens of top-level soccer players, is surely the only placee of the Andes where you can find national team players sitting on the street, drinking beer or 'puntas' -a liquor made from sugar cane-, enjoying a visit with family or friends.
